The staff members in Guatemala are an amazing group of people who have given their lives to serve and invest in the lives of the people of La Limonada.
In 1994 Tita Evertsz began working with gang members and the people of La Limonada despite her church encouraging her not to go there. After doing that work as a volunteer for 6 years and seeing so many gang members die and children swept into the gangs, she followed the passion of her heart to give her life to serving the people of this community.
Now, more than 40 staff members, most of whom are from La Limonada, have joined Tita and currently serve as school directors, teachers, pastors, vocational training instructors, house parents, loan officers, and administrative assistants.
These staff members serve the people of La Limonada every day with love, education, tutoring, faith-based instruction, meals, help with hygeine, pastoral care, vocational training, loans to establish or grow a small business, and hope for a better future.
This is an incredible group of people who need your prayers and support as they deal with very difficult situations in the lives of the people of La Limonada every day.
